Working in the public sector can be both rewarding yet demanding. In Singapore, the public servants are an important sector that serve the society in many ways like ensuring sovereignty through the Singapore Armed Forces, being in the frontline to keep Singapore streets and coastline safe and rescuing people in time through the Home Team, ensuring the housing needs are met, having the education all paved out for the Singaporean kids and keeping the health of Singaporeans well through having enough hospitals. Lastly, there are many associations and religious bodies to represent a Singaporean in various ways in terms of his preference in religion, his profession and his origin.
