First, inspect the care label, lining, embellishments and seams. Before a full wash, a hidden area should be water-tested with a suitable delicate detergent. This can reveal colour bleeding, water marking or finish changes. If the garment is vintage, heavily embellished or valuable, professional assessment is the safer starting point.
Hand wash washable organza gently
For washable organza, hand washing is usually the gentlest option. Fill a clean basin with cool to lukewarm water and add a small amount of pH-neutral, silk-safe or delicate detergent.[1] Then, turn the garment inside out where possible and lower it into the water. Gently swirl the item instead of rubbing, scrubbing or twisting the fabric.
After a brief soak, rinse in cool water until detergent has been removed. Organza should never be wrung, because the fine weave can stretch, crease or tear.[1] [2] Instead, lay the garment on a towel, roll it loosely and press gently to lift excess water. Use a washing machine only when permitted

Steam and press organza carefully
Whenever possible, use gentle steaming rather than direct ironing. Steam from a few inches away and avoid soaking the fabric. If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out, use the lowest suitable heat and place a clean cotton pressing cloth between the iron and organza.[1] [2] Press lightly rather than dragging the iron across the surface.
